    As the temperature drops so does the performance of our LiPo batteries. You need to keep them warm and at least above 5 degrees C. Keep them in an inside pocket while waiting to use them, make sure they can’t short out on things like keys though. Some say you should not use them if they are at 5 degrees or less…

    An important thing to bear in mind is that they are sensitive to overvoltage and as the temp drops so does the max allowable voltage they will safely tolerate. So if you have charged to 4.2v/cell at home at 20 degrees C and they cool to around 5 degrees they will be overvoltage and internal damage will result.
