The TV channel PBS America has some good documentaries. They are running a series of 6 aircraft restoration programmes at 21:00 on a Monday. The first was a P51 Mustang restored by a UK restorer (also an RC modeller) in East Anglia, the second about a Fokker DR1 and the next one, on Monday 13th February, a Hurricane. From the shots I have seen it is the Peter Vacher B of B aircraft R4118 which was recovered from an Indian University. He was so passionate about restoration accuracy and authenticity it was said he would have re used the air in the oleos if he could have….

Well worth a watch with 3 more aircraft to come.

I watched both the P51 (since crashed?) . I really enjoyed the build of the DR1 , including the use of Oratex for the covering. Just one very large model!

PBS America have some superb aviation documentaries. A recent one was about the Canadian Lancaster that came to UK and flew with the BBMF City of Lincoln. Bound to be repeated, watch out for it.
